The Rec Hockey program for youth is a City of Morden Program for those who are not registered in Minor Hockey. The purpose of the program is to provide an atmosphere where youth can learn and enjoy the great game of hockey without the commitment and expectations of the Minor Hockey program. It is a non-body contact program aimed at allowing everyone on the ice the freedom to have fun and fair play. The scrimmage games will not have a referee. There may be a few exhibition games planned, but this is not a formal league. Players must wear full equipment including a CSA-approved helmet with a face guard, a neck guard, gloves, elbow and shin guards, hockey pants, a jersey, shoulder pads, and a mouth guard.
